Summer Camp

General Information




Come have an exciting, exhilarating, fun in the sun experience at the Hosanna House Summer Camp.  In our summer camp, the youth are exposed to a variety of activities throughout the day in a healthy, safe, enjoyable and structured environment led by our caring and nurturing mentors.


The main focus of our summer camp is centered around physical health and social wellness.  We teach children how to impact their families by keeping active and staying fit.

  • Youth summer camp runs for 9-weeks, from June to August
  • Camp hours are M-F, 8am-5:30pm (additional fees apply for early drop-off)
  • We accept children from 4-13 years old
  • Mandatory parent orientation will be conducted at Hosanna House the Wednesday evening prior to the start of camp
  • Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided to all campers on a daily basis


All campers will build lasting relationships with friends and mentors, enjoying the summer sun while participating in the following team-building activities:

  • Swimming
  • Health and nutrition
  • Dek hockey
  • Aviation 
  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Computers
  • Dance and drama
  • Arts and crafts
  • Recreation room
  • Outdoor recreation
  • Bible/character building
  • Field trips
  • Outdoor classroom
  • Makerspace


Most activities will be held at out Sherwood Outdoor Recreation Facility, weather permitting, which has all new tennis and basketball courts as well as a brand new Dek hockey rink.  We also have a regulation-size indoor swimming pool at our main campus so the youth can enjoy swimming all summer long.


2019 Summer Camp Rates for Familes Without Subisdies

Families qualify for only one of the following categories:


Child Development Center Camp - Children ages 3 thru pre-k

Youth Camp - Children who have completed Kindergarten thru 13 years old

Families who have children in both camps will have their rates calculated as follows:

  • For the first child, the CDC Camp rate will be used
  • For each additional child, the Youth Camp rate will be used


** To qualify for low-income rates, families must submit one of the following forms of income verification documentation, for all household members who receive income or public assistance with their application:

  • current DPW printout/statement of benefits
  • prior year's tax return
  • statement of social security benefits
  • current year's payroll stub showing year-to-date earnings



There is a non-refundable $20 registration fee per family.  Registration fee is due at the time of submitting the application.  Fee is waived if completely registered by May 3, 2019.


To take advantage of the waived $20.00 registration fee and to reserve a spot, all registration forms must be completed and turned in before May 3, 2019.  If the completed registration forms are not received by May 3, 2019, the registration fee will no longer be waived and your child(ren) will not be guaranteed a spot.

Please make sure your account is up to date.  We will not be able to enroll your child(ren) in summer camp if there are any outstanding balances.  This includes any balances from last year's summer camp and any balances from children that have attended our Child Development Center.


Please be sure to review the registration packet in its entirety.  The following forms need to be completed and turned in, along with first week's payment, before registration is finalized:

  • Fee agreement
  • Enrollment weeks
  • Emergency contact
  • Child health assessment (to be completed by a physician)
  • Updated immunization records (to be completed by a physician) 
  • (2) food forms
  • Consent form
  • Medication release
  • Proof of low-income for families who qualify






Payments can be made in person or online.  Each week of camp must be paid in advance and must be received by the Friday prior to the week your child(ren) will be attending camp.  To pay online with VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Debit Card, please go to our payments page and click the Summer Camp payment button.  Camp ends promptly at 5:30pm.  A late charge will be applied to your account if you pick up your child(ren) after 5:30pm.


Hosanna House Summer Camp accepts all subsidies.  Registrations for families receiving these subsidies must be accompanied by an enrollment summary letter from the case worker.  Alternatively, the case worker can call our Business Manager at (412) 342-1342 to make payment arrangements.


Checks and Money Orders should be made payable to Hosanna House, Inc.  Please include your child's name and either stop in our Administration Office on the 3rd floor of our main campus or mail them to:

Please allow sufficient time for your payment to reach us.  A $35.00 non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee will be applied to your account for any checks that are returned by your bank unpaid.
