The purpose of Hosanna House is to provide critical health and human services to the most fragile in our community. For over 20 years, we have forged strategic partnerships that allow us to offer critical support to our neighbors. Our 10 Partner Service agencies and their almost 150 employees care for the needs of 500 people on a daily basis. Every day, we work closely together to achieve our shared mission.

Allegheny County Health Department – Chronic Disease Prevention

The Chronic Disease Prevention Program at ACHD works to improve the quality of life of Allegheny County residents by enabling them to prevent, detect, delay and/or manage heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer.

Allegheny County Health Department – Office of Family and Child Health

Our mission is to improve the quality of life and health of mothers/birthing persons, infants, children, and families in Allegheny County. We offer services to pregnant people, parents, or caregivers of children under two years old.

Allegheny Health Department – Office of Violence Prevention

The Office of Violence Prevention aims to reduce violence throughout Allegheny County. Specifically, our efforts center on reducing gun violence through a variety of strategies. To do this, we partner with other governmental, non-profit, neighborhood, and faith-based organizations. Our work demonstrates a coordinated response, which leverages the strengths of a wide variety of stakeholders.

Allegheny County Health Department – Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

WIC is a federally funded program that provides healthy supplemental foods and nutrition services for pregnant women, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children under age five in a supportive environment. The goal of the WIC Program is to decrease the risk of poor birth outcomes and to improve the health of the participants during critical stages of growth and development.

Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) – Early Head Start

Early Head Start is a childhood development program for infants, toddlers, pregnant women and their families. We work with families to promote the development of the child, support the efforts of parents to fulfill their roles, help families move towards self-sufficiency and assist pregnant women with access to prenatal and postpartum care.

Early Learning Resource Centers

Pennsylvania’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) designed ELRCs as a place where families can find high-quality early education opportunities, apply for assistance to help with childcare costs or access other resources that will set them on a path to success. It is also where childcare providers can receive information on improving program quality.

East Liberty Family Health Care Center – Dental Center

East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC) has two dental centers. One located at our Wilkinsburg office (in Hosanna House) and the other at our Lincoln-Lemington office.

Our dentists serve children and adults of all ages. At ELFHCC, we are committed to improving the oral health of our community by providing preventive, comprehensive, and emergency dental services at our two locations. Services are provided for the entire family, regardless of the patient’s insurance status. A sliding-fee scale is available to help reduce out of pocket expenses.

ELFHCC’s dental services include: Comprehensive dental exams, Emergency treatment, Fillings, Extractions, Crowns, Dentures, Partials, Cleanings, Sealants, Gum treatments, and Fluoride treatments

Wilkinsburg Family Health Center

The Wilkinsburg Family Health Center provides basic health care for adults and children of all ages. Services provided include pediatric and adult primary care, immunizations, gynecological care, obstetrics, driver’s license, and pre-employment physicals and podiatry. All of these services are provided on a sliding fee scale and most insurance plans are accepted.

Wilkinsburg Family Support Center

The Wilkinsburg Family Support Center is a family-focused approach to human services delivery. It is community-based and has no eligibility requirements for participation. Families may choose general or intensive enrollment. Family support focuses on identifying and building upon family strengths. This helps people to deal with difficult life events and set personal goals. Family support services are designed by and for participants. Services provided include drop-off playroom, crises nursery respite program, mental health counseling, literacy activities, substance abuse prevention, and transportation.
